As the years go by, it is inevitable that the undersides of balconies will show signs of erosion, bulging of the plaster or oxidation of the metal parts and, in the most serious cases, even material becoming detached, which could cause damage to the property or people.

HOW IS SOFFIT RESTORATION CARRIED OUT?
When performing maintenance or renovation work on soffits, our construction workers also follow the planned phases of work using the double safety rope technique, therefore without installing scaffolding.
If the damage to the underside of the balcony is only superficial, a simple restoration of the plaster is carried out, however if the damage is greater, a more complex intervention is required. As a first step, our EdiliziAcrobatica construction workers carry out a staking process and remove the detaching parts. If necessary, they treat the reinforcing rods by brushing and, in addition, passivate them with rust converters.
As a second step, the bottom is cleaned and the removed parts reconstructed using reconstituted fibre-reinforced thixotropic skimming mortar. Once the surface has dried, the intervention is concluded with a coating stage, using a protective paint for exteriors.
